Google has officially sunset Universal Analytics (UA) and replaced it with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as of July 1st, 2023. In compliance with this change, our platform now only supports GA4 accounts.
This article will walk you through what this means, how to ensure your data is compatible, and how to link GA4 to your workspace.
Key Changes with the GA4 Integration
Universal Analytics is no longer supported
Only GA4 properties can be connected
You must set up and link a GA4 account to continue using analytics in your reports
Checklist: How to Prepare for GA4 in our Platform
1. Set Up Your GA4 Account
If you haven't already created a GA4 property, follow Google's official setup guide here:
🔗 Set Up GA4 Property
2. Link GA4 to our platform
Once your GA4 property is set up, follow these steps to connect it to your Cloud Campaign account:
🔗 How to Integrate Google Analytics
3. Generate Reports Using GA4
Once linked, you can begin including GA4 data in your reports.
Navigate to the Reports section
Select the GA4 account from the drop-down if you have multiple properties
Run your report as usual
Important Notes About GA4 Reporting
-
GA4 only tracks data starting from the day you set up the property.
Example: If you created your GA4 account on July 10th, you'll only see data starting from that date in your reports.
You may notice differences in how metrics are presented compared to Universal Analytics.
