Switching to a professional Instagram account (Business or Creator) to linking to Facebook Pages, and enabling third-party scheduling platforms. Here’s how to do it using Instagram.com on desktop.
1. Log in to Instagram on Desktop
Go to instagram.com and log into the account you want to convert to a business profile.
2. Open the “More” Menu
In the bottom-left corner, click the three horizontal lines (☰) labeled More.
3. Go to Settings
From the expanded menu, click on Settings on the left-hand sidebar.
4. Scroll to the “For Professionals” Section
Scroll down until you see the For Professionals section.
Click on Account Type and Tools.
5. Switch to a Professional Account
In the Account Type and Tools section, click on Switch to Professional Account.
Choose Business as your account type.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.
6. Verify Your Account is a Business Page
Once the setup is complete, your Instagram account will now be classified as a Business Profile.
